SUMMARY:GOAL Gun Law Seminar
DESCRIPTION:We are hosting Jon Green of the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) at 6:00 PM on Tuesday\, December 17th who will present their seminar on the new Massachusetts General Law Chapter 135. This is your opportunity to learn the actual facts on this new\, far-reaching law. The seminar is open to our members and the public. There is no fee to attend\, but we suggest that you make a donation to GOAL or join if you’re not currently a GOAL member. \nThis 2+ hour long seminar attempts to explain the massive changes in state laws and regulation in layperson terms. Guests will explore applicable MGL and CMR as it pertains to definitions\, gun purchase\, possession\, transport\, record keeping requirements\, buying/selling\, interstate transport\, interstate purchase\, ammunition storage and best practices for gun owners. \nJon Green has been the Director of Education and Training for Gun Owners’ Action League since 1999. He served on the NSSF Range Advisory Committee for 4 years and has owned and managed FFL 01 Businesses. He has taught similar classes to thousands of citizens\, hundreds of Mass State Police BFS Certified Instructors\, Massachusetts Hunter Education Instructors and Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers. \nTo register for the seminar\, please email Rob McDermott at rob.mcdermott@outlook.com.

DESCRIPTION:Kid’s Fishing Derby Postponed\nUnfortunately\, the forecast for Saturday is calling for heavy rain. The Kid’s Fishing Derby at Minkler’s pond is being postponed until Saturday\, May 17th. \nThe annual fishing derby for children of Stockbridge Sportsmen’s Club members will be held on Saturday\, May 10th at the Minkler’s Pond\, 3 Old Tree Farm Road (off Rt 183) in Stockbridge. Hours are 9:00 AM until Noon. Please try to arrive a little early\, and park on the road above the pond. \nOver 100 trout will be stocked in the pond\, including some that are large. Provide your own fishing equipment and bait. All kids will receive a prize. Hot dogs and drinks will be available. \nWe hope to see lots of kids at the derby. Thank you to Tim and Nancy Minkler for hosting the kid’s derby again this year.
