• NEWSLETTER CHANGES: Newsletter editor Max Scherff has given
the club newsletter format a facelift. We are still mailing newsletters, but will also post them for download and reading
on the Newsletter page of this website. We have begun experimenting with a bulk emailing service called MailChimp, and recently
sent a notice through this system to announce the GOAL Law Seminar on May 1st. While we would like to utilize MailChimp
more often, we are missing or have incorrect email addresses for nearly 150 members. Please visit the
Membership page and use the contact form to reconfirm your mailing address and email address. Thank you.
LAND PURCHASE: The Stockbridge Sportsmen's Club has just purchased approximately
95 acres that abutted our existing land, extending west into West Stockbridge.
2018 MEMBERSHIP CARDS: Membership cards were recently mailed with the newsletter.
If you didn't receive a card, you can still renew but also include a $ 30.00 reinstatement fee. If you think there
is an error, use the contact form on the Membership page.
RANGE CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Members and their guests must sign in and pay the appropriate
range fee before using the range. The member must be present at the range in order for guests to use that range. Please pick
up your brass when done.
• YOUTH ACTIVITY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The
club's popular Youth Archery and Rifle Leagues are always in need of more volunteers. The Youth Archery program
has concluded for the year, but Youth Rifle will run on Wednesday evenings in July and August. Pay it forward! It's both fun
MA ATTORNEY GENERAL BANS ASSAULT RIFLES: Attorney General Maura Healey has issued a directive
making formerly "Massachusetts Compliant" AR and similar style rifles illegal in the state effective Wednesday,
July 20th. Click here to visit the State's web page regarding the ban and any exceptions, and click here to visit the GOAL Blog for information on legal challenges being made against the Attorney General.
If you are visiting our club from out of state where your so-called assault weapons are perfectly legal, DO NOT bring your
gun with you. It's a felony offense.
Remember, your vote
could help preserve your Second Amendment rights.
ARCHERY - Archery leagues will start
